You Are What You Eat With
At Zeftron® nylon, green may be a primary color, but at the design firms green is becoming a primary focus.
The Zeftron nylon Field Marketing Representatives, located in Boston, New York, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco are busy each week calling on design firms. These calls often lead to lunch and learn sessions. Since our focus with Zeftron includes performance, style and recyclability, we try to be aware of other green hot buttons that designers have. Lately, I've been thinking about the amount of trash generated during a lunch and learn, as well as the utensils used during it. Several designers have pointed out to our reps that we should look into using more environmentally friendly and/or biodegradable cutlery. This month I just wanted to use the Zeftron nylon File to mention this to you, since carpet mill reps also do lunch and learn presentations for designers.
Try to avoid or reduce the use of:
- Styrofoam cups
- Plastic cutlery and plates
- Paper plates and cups
Look into more environmentally friendly options like:
- Cutlery, plates and cups made of recycled content
- Biodegradable cutlery and plates
- Compostable cups
- Bioplastic utensils
I am certainly not prepared to endorse any of the products available, but I have seen information on cutlery that is made from corn and will compost in 45 to 60 days. It seems like this could be an easy way to be a bit more green during a lunch and learn.
Remember: Zeftron nylon is fully recyclable (6ix Again®) and contains 25 percent recycled content (Enviro6ix®).
